SAVING OUR BOYS
We believe it is important to invest in our young people. Many of our young men have lost their way. The objective of the Christian Soldier Academy (CSA) is to strengthen the stewardship of young men in the church and address potential problems that put our young men at-risks upfront. CSA will use the Bible and the program guidance, “Manhood Training: An Introduction to Adulthood, “ by O’neal Small, Professor of Law (University of South Carolina). The program covers issues facing young Black Americans including self-reliance, courteous & respect, and other character building topics. The Deacon Family Ministry will sponsor this CSA effort with support from the other church organizations. The program will be aimed at 3-5 grades (elementary school) and 6-8 grades (middle school). Meet once a month with a prescribed agenda. Attendees will participate in field trips (show the real world). It culminates with a graduation ceremony; awards will be given.
